What you need to know
Healing Together After Betrayal
When sexual addiction, pornography, infidelity, or deception enters a relationship, both people are deeply affected.
One partner is trying to learn how to live with honesty and integrity. The other is trying to make sense of shattered trust and overwhelming pain.
It’s common for couples to feel like they’re speaking two different languages. One person wants forgiveness. The other needs safety. One wants to move forward. The other is still trying to understand what happened.
You don’t have to navigate that journey alone.
At Greenway, we provide couples coaching specifically designed for relationships recovering from sexual addiction, pornography, infidelity, and betrayal trauma. Our goal isn’t simply to save a marriage. Our goal is to help each person heal while creating a relationship built on honesty, empathy, safety, and lasting trust. Every couple’s journey is different, so we’ll work with you to develop a recovery plan that fits your unique circumstances rather than forcing you into a predetermined process.

What Is Couples Coaching?
Couples recovery coaching helps both partners understand what healing actually looks like after betrayal.
Unlike traditional marriage coaching, our work recognizes that addiction recovery and betrayal trauma healing happen simultaneously. Recovery isn’t about assigning blame or deciding who’s right. It’s about helping each person grow while rebuilding a healthier relationship together.
Together we’ll help you:
-
Improve communication
-
Rebuild trust through consistent actions over time
-
Establish healthy boundaries
-
Develop empathy and emotional connection
-
Understand addiction and betrayal trauma
-
Reduce destructive conflict patterns
-
Navigate difficult conversations with honesty and grace
-
Strengthen emotional and spiritual intimacy
-
Create a practical roadmap for healing together
Not One Size Fits All
Every couple arrives with a different story, different strengths, and different needs. Because of that, we don’t believe there is a single formula that every couple should follow.
For some couples, beginning with couples coaching right away provides the stability, direction, and hope they need to start healing together.
For others, individual coaching is the best place to begin so each person can focus on their own recovery before addressing the relationship more deeply.
Sometimes the most effective starting point is an intensive, allowing both partners to jumpstart the recovery process through several days of focused work before transitioning into ongoing coaching.
Our role is to help you determine the path that best fits your unique situation—not force you into a predetermined program.
Recovery often includes a combination of different forms of support, and those combinations look different for every couple.
Your recovery plan might include:
-
Couples coaching alongside individual coaching for one or both partners
-
Couples coaching while the addicted partner participates in a men’s recovery group and the betrayed partner attends a partner support group
-
An intensive followed by ongoing couples coaching
-
Individual coaching for a season before transitioning primarily to couples work
There isn’t one “right” path. The goal is to provide each person with the support they need while helping your relationship move toward greater honesty, safety, and connection.
As recovery progresses, your plan may change—and that’s okay. Healing isn’t about checking boxes or following a rigid sequence. It’s about responding to what’s needed in each season.

Our Couples Approach
Every couple’s story is different, but several principles guide the way we work.
Recovery Is Personal and Relational
Healthy relationships are built by two people who are committed to growth. We help each partner pursue personal healing while intentionally rebuilding the relationship.
Safety Before Trust
Trust isn’t rebuilt through promises or quick forgiveness. It grows as honesty, consistency, empathy, and accountability create emotional safety over time.
Truth With Compassion
Healing requires honesty about what has happened while creating an environment where both partners feel heard, respected, and understood.
Hope With Realistic Expectations
Recovery is rarely quick. There are setbacks, difficult conversations, and seasons of grief. But many couples discover that as they faithfully pursue healing, they build a relationship that is stronger, healthier, and more authentic than they ever thought possible.
